Akatakyie installs solar panels for OWASS’ classrooms

The Opoku Ware Old Boys’ Association (Akatakyie) has completed and handed over a solar project to ensure students of Opoku Ware School (OWASS) can have lights to study when “dumsor” strikes.

The AB Year Group of Akatakyie, led by Katakyie Croffie, officially handed over the completed project to the school at a short ceremony on Sunday, February 21, 2016.

The headmaster of OWASS, Dr. Alexis Frimpong Nimoh, expressed the school’s appreciation for the gesture and thanked the old boys for their continuous support.

Speaking on behalf of the National Executive Council (NEC) of Akatakyie, Katakyie J. B. Dankwah (NEC President) thanked Akatakyie for their interest in projects and initiatives of the fraternity and assure the school that this project by the AB Year Group will inspire other year groups to do more for the school.

Earlier this month, the AN Year Group of Akatakyie initiated a project to refurbish the dinning hall of Opoku Ware School.
