Scholarship opportunities for KNUST freshmen and continuing students

Below is a list of scholarships opportunities for freshmen and continuing students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) for the 2017/2018 academic year.

1. EDU FONDAZIONE (FRESHMEN ONLY)

Edu Fondazione in Collaboration with KNUST is offering scholarships to needy but brilliant students of the University in order to help them pursue their education successfully.

Eligibility: The Scholarship is opened to all first (1st) year students of the university pursuing full time programs. The application is opened to Ghanaian Regular students. An applicant should not be a beneficiary of another scholarship scheme at the time of application.

Requirements: All prospective applicants are to include the following documents;
– Admission Letter
– Acceptance Letter
– WASSCE Certificate
– High School Transcripts or All Terminal Reports
– Recommendation Letters
– Awards and Certificates (If any)
– All Applicants should provide proof of need.

Closing date: Applicants are to submit their applications by Friday 22nd September, 2017 at 3:00 pm.

2. EDUCATIONAL PATHWAYS INTERNATIONAL (1ST, 2ND, AND 3RD YEAR STUDENTS ONLY)

Educational Pathways International is a foundation that offers a four-year scholarship to
brilliant but needy students to enable them pursue their university education in their
respective countries.

Eligibility: The scholarship is opened to all Ghanaian students in their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years. An applicant must be a brilliant but needy student who is pursuing a full time
programme in KNUST. The minimum grade for prospective continuing student applicants must be at least Second Class Upper. First year applicants should have a WASSECE result / aggregate of at least nine (9). Continuing students who are beneficiaries of other scholarships are not eligible to apply.

Requirements: All prospective applicants are to include the following documents in their applications:
– Admission Letter
– Acceptance Letter
– WASSCE Certificate
– High School Transcripts or all Terminal reports for the whole duration for SHS (Fresh
Students)
– Recommendation letters
– Awards or certificates (if any)
– Prospective continuing student applicants should also add their current complete
university academic transcripts (including second semester results).

Closing date: All continuing student applicants are to submit their applications by Friday,
8th September, 2017 at 4:00pm. Fresh students are also to submit their applications by
Monday, 15th September, 2017 at 4:00pm.

3. TIMOTHY ANSAH MEMORIAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS (2ND, 3RD, AND 4TH YEAR STUDENTS ONLY)

Timothy Ansah Memorial Foundation is a scholarship scheme that offers a four-year
scholarship to brilliant but needy students from the Western Region of Ghana to enable them pursue their university education in KNUST.

Eligibility: The Scholarship is opened to 2nd to 4th year students who hail from the Western Region of Ghana and also attended their senior high school education in the same region. Preference will be given to female students. Students who are beneficiaries of other scholarships are not eligible to apply.

Requirements: All prospective applicants are to include the following documents;
– Admission Letter
– Acceptance Letter
– Recommendation Letters
– Awards and Certificates (If any)
– Prospective continuing student applicants should also add their current complete
university academic transcripts (including second semester results).

4. UNIBANK GHANA LIMITED SCHOLARSHIPS (2ND, 3RD, AND 4TH YEAR STUDENTS ONLY)

Unibank Ghana Limited in Collaboration with KNUST is offering scholarships to needy but brilliant students in the University in order to help them pursue their education successfully.

Eligibility: The scholarship is opened to all second (2nd), third (3rd) and fourth (4th) year students of the university, pursuing full time programs. All applicants must be
Ghanaian regular students. Applicants should not be a beneficiary of another scholarship
scheme at the time of application.

Requirements: All prospective applicants are to include the following documents;
– Admission Letter
– Acceptance Letter
– WASSCE Certificate
– Recommendation Letters
– Awards and Certificates (If Any).
– All applicants should also include their updated transcripts.
– All applicants should explain in details why they need financial support (This information must not exceed one page and should be typed written on a plain sheet using 1.5 line spacing. The sheet should be attached/stapled to the application form).
