The university council of the University of Cape Coast has appointed Prof. Joseph Ghartey Ampiah, Provost of the College of Education Studies, as the new vice chancellor of the university.
He was appointed at the council’s special meeting held on Saturday, 30th July, 2016.
Prof Ghartey Ampiah will take over from the incumbent Vice-Chancellor, Prof. D. D. Kuupole at the end Prof Kuupole’s term of office.
