University of Health and Allied Sciences to start Medical Degree Programme in September

The University of Health and Allied Sciences wishes to inform the general public that the Medical Degree programme (MB ChB) in the School of Medicine will start in September, 2014. (Accreditation is ongoing).

Applications are therefore invited from prospective candidates.

1.0  ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1.1  Local Applicants

Applicants must have obtained at least credits (C6) in WASSSCE in the following core subjects:

    English
    Core Mathematics
    Integrated Science
    Social Studies

In addition, applicants must have obtained at least credits (C6) in WASSSCE in the following Elective Subjects:

    Chemistry, Physics and Biology, or
    Chemistry, Physics and Elective Mathematics

1.2 Ghanaians with external Educational Credentials and International Applicants will also be considered.

Credentials acceptable for admission include the following:

    West African Senior School Certificates (WASSSCE)
    International Baccalaureate (IB)
    GCE (Cambridge) -‘0’ and ‘A’ Levels
    IGCSE (Cambridge) – ‘0’ and ‘A’ Levels
    American High School Grade – Grade 12 & 13 Examinations
    Other external qualifications which have equivalences to the WASSCE

2.0  HOW TO APPLY

2.1 Ghanaian Applicants

Applicants are required to purchase University of Health and Allied Sciences E-Vouchers for GH₵130.00 from any branch of Ghana Commercial Bank or Agricultural Development Bank. Click here to apply now.

2.2 International Applicants

International applicants and Ghanaians applying from abroad should follow the instructions provided on the website.

After completing and submitting the form on-line, applicants are to print a proof of submission, add certified copies of all relevant certificates and send them to the address below with a non-refundable fee of US$130.00 or its equivalent in International Money Order.

Applicants in the West African sub-region should pay their application fees through Ecobank to: University of  Health and Allied Sciences’ Foreign Account, Legon Branch, Legon, Ghana.

The original copy of the pay-in slip should be added to the downloaded form and other documents and sent to the University of Health and Allied Sciences, PMB 31, Ho, Ghana. Click here to apply now

2.3 Ghanaians with External Credentials

Ghanaians who apply with external credentials should follow the application procedure for international student. They should however pay the application fee of GH₵130.00 through any branch of Agricultural Development Bank or Ghana Commercial Bank and submit the original copy of the pay-in slip to the University together with a copy of other specified documents.
