Beyond the track and field events at every ‘SUZO’ is another fascinating rivalry among competing schools. One very interesting competition is which pair of schools has the strongest solidarity or alliance. Over the years the public display of affection, romance, solidarity and alliance among some schools have attracted lots of attention at all inter-school gatherings.

myJCR.com witnessed the fascinating show of support among some boys and girls schools and rated the Kumasi High and Kumasi Girls alliance highly over the others but that was before the AKATASLOPSA appearance at the Inter-Co. The latter were exciting to behold as they demonstrated strong bond and affection for each other. This sets the tone for interesting rivalry among all the alliances at the SUZO which will be monitored with an eagle eye.

So for now, our eagle eye will be keenly fixed at the SUZO beyond the track and field we monitor the great boys-girls schools alliances.

Alliances to watch out for:

1. KUHIS – KUGISS
2. PREMPEH – YAA ASANTEWAA
3. O.T. – AFIA KOBI
4. OWASS – ST. LOUIS
5. K.T.I. – SERWAA NYARKO
