The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Ghana has withdrawn from all activities of the University Students Association of Ghana (USAG) effective 27th June 2015.

This was contained in a letter sent to the National Executives of the University Students Association of Ghana dated 27th June 2015.According to the Legon SRC, the crucial decision was taken after the leadership of USAG failed in their mandate to get the Legon SRC an official document from government stating clearly its stance with regards to the payment of utility bills when the institution was faced with such a deadly challenge.

“As an SRC, we would not involve ourselves with any activities of our mother union [USAG] if it cannot help get our problems solved”, the Legon SRC further indicated in their letter of withdrawal.
