The attention of myJCR Team has been drawn to defamatory messages spreading on social media and on WhatsApp in relation to the KALYBOS IN CHINA movie premiere earlier scheduled to be held at the Auditorium 900 of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) on April 24, 2015.
The team has released this piece to set the records straight and to calm fans of myJCR and students of UCC who have been calling and sending messages to find out more about the matter.
On March 7, 2015, myJCR Team secured the right to premiere the KALYBOS IN CHINA movie at KNUST (CCB Auditorium) on April 12, 2015 and at UCC (Auditorium 900) on April 24, 2015 from Kofas Media at an agreed fee. This agreement was reached between Katakyie HiLary Dodoo (CEO of myJCR) and Kofi Asamoah (CEO of Kofas Media and Director of KALYBOS IN CHINA movie).
Following the agreement, the poster below was released by myJCR Team on March 17, 2015 to initiate publicity (both online and offline) for the event at KNUST and UCC.
The KNUST premiere came off successfully on April 12, 2015 and was highly patronised. The premiere organised by myJCR Team is currently referred to as the most patronised movie premiere at KNUST for the 2014/2015 Academic Year.
Few days after the KNUST premiere, myJCR Team initiated a legal action against Kofi Asamoah and Kofas Media for breach of contract and for defamation at a court in Cape Coast in relation to the planned movie premiere at Auditorium 900. The UCC (Auditorium 900) premiere as a result has been suspended.
We are sorry for any inconveniences the suspension may cause.
