Executives of the best campus news network in Ghana, myJCR.com, initiated training sessions for student journalists who were recruited from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) last week at the Department of Publish Studies.

Out of 354 undergraduate students of KNUST who applied to join the news network, only 50 were selected after the initial interview sessions.

The 50 recruits are currently going through training sessions that will finally determine the final 20 that will make up the Editorial Team and Production Team of myJCR.com. The recruits include students who want to be trained news reporting, editing, photo journalism, and video production.

Resource persons for the first training session were Mr HiLary Owusu Dodoo (Former broadcast journalist and founder of myJCR.com) and Mr Robert Ansah (Founding member of myJCR.com and Teaching Assistant of the Department of Publishing Studies, KNUST).

By the beginning of the 2017/2018 academic year, a refined team would have been constituted to feed students with nothing but relevant, reliable and timely campus updates.
